Estimates of parasite release from the liver (~24 hours, over all volunteers), duration of circulating stages (1,18 days) and adhesive stages (0,64 days) were taken from reference 24. Time of blood sampling is framed. When sampling blood the early circulating stages are isolated, i.e. blood drawn on day 8 predominantly contains first-generation parasites after liver release.
