Measured divergent thinking (DT) creativity is given as raw and percentile values (%); SA = Self-assessed creative performance; Absolute/Relative = Self-assessment in general/compared to others; Pre/Post = Self-assessments pre/post DT task performance. ds are Cohen’s ds for the differences between self-assessment and performance percentile (positive values = overestimation) with * indicating significance in two-tailed t-tests (p < .05). At n = 425 (study 1), all r ≥ 0.09 are significant at p < 0.05 and all r ≥ 0.16 are significant at p < 0.001. At n = 317 (study 2), all r ≥ 0.11 are significant at p < 0.05 and all r ≥ 0.18 are significant at p < 0.001.
