(A) The postinfarction reduction in SBV with nitroglycerin (NTG) administration was not correlated with its initial compensatory response (two-tailed Pearson correlation coefficient). (B) The postinfarction reduction in MAP with nitroglycerin administration was correlated with the initial compensatory response of SBV (nonparametric Spearman correlation coefficient). (C) The postinfarction increase in En with dobutamine (DB) administration was not correlated with its initial compensatory response (two-tailed Pearson correlation coefficient). Linear regression lines appear curved because of the logarithmic axes. In all cases, linear regression passed the test for homoscedasticity and correlation coefficients were considered significant if p < 0.05.
