X-ray crystal structure of the Vibrio cholerae NFeoB NTPase domain in the GDP-bound state. The right panel represents a zoomed-in view of the nucleotide-binding pocket bound to GDP. Three residues make important contacts with the purine ring: Asn119, Asp122, and Asn150. Of these residues, only Asn150 is located on a variable loop region (G5) and lacks conservation. In the presence of GDP, the Switch I region is nearly fully disordered, while the Switch II region is only partially disordered. ā€˜Nā€™ and ā€˜Cā€™ represent the N- and C-termini in the structure, respectively.
