Competitive inhibition of p80 binding of GST–pre-S1 by pre-S1. The precleared lysate of biotinylated HepG2 cells was incubated with GST–pre-S fusion protein in the presence of 0 (lane 1), 1 (lane 2), 2 (lane 3), 5 (lane 4), 10 (lane 5), 25 (lane 6), 50 (lane 7), or 100 (lane 8) μg of purified pre-S1 polypeptide, and the binding experiment was done as described for Fig. 1.
