Anti‐proliferative effect of interferons (IFN) against tumor cells. B16‐BL6 () and Colon26 () cells plated on 24‐well culture plates (at a density of 1 × 10³ cells/well and 2 × 10³ cells/well, respectively) were cultured with the indicated concentrations of (a) IFN‐β or (b) IFN‐γ for 5 days. The number of cells were evaluated by MTT assay. The results are expressed as the mean ± standard deviation of three independent determinations. *P < 0.05 for Student's t‐test compared with the cells cultured with no IFN.
