Western blot analyses of the effect of simvastatin on the expression levels of p21, p27, ERK1/2, phospho‐ERK1/2 and thymidylate synthase (TS). β‐actin was used as an internal control. Tu167 and JMAR cells were incubated for 48 h with the indicated concentration of simvastatin. The expression status was compared with protein samples extracted from untreated cells (incubated with vehicle). The entire cell lysates were subjected to western blotting.
