Suppression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) protein expression by pSilenceApe1 in vivo. The expression of VEGF protein in 9901 xenografts was evaluated by immunohistochemistry with 200× magnification. A significant decrease in VEGF protein was observed following treatment with pSilenceApe1 or combined treatment with pSilenceApe1 and recombinant human endostatin (rhES), compared with control or treatment with rhES alone in 9901 xenografts.
