The data were extracted from the NCBI GEO DataSets GSE1643 (normal lung, 40 samples,( 5 ) and GSE3141 lung adenocarcinoma, 58 samples; squamous cell carcinoma, 53 samples).( 34 ) The probe ID in the Affymetrix platforms were 2030211_at (SLPI) and AFFX‐HSAC07/X00351–5_at (β‐actin). The relative expression ratios of SLPI to β‐actin were evaluated.
