Total RNA was isolated at the time points indicated, and L5 RNA was detected by an RNase protection assay. wt, wild type; GFP, green fluorescent protein. (B) The signals obtained by the RNase protection assay were quantitated with a BioImager (Fuji). The value obtained with wild-type E4orf6 24 h postinfection was set 100%, and the other signal intensities were normalized accordingly.
