Expression of viral transcripts in microglia isolated ex vivo. mRNA was isolated from microglia and total CNS from rats and 3T3 cells, respectively, subjected to Northern blotting, and probed with a virus-specific envelope and a glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) probe.
