Overall, the Spodosol (B) had less effective species [Exp(H)] than the Alfisol (A) across P carryover treatments except for the control (0 + 0 P), which had a similar number of species as the Alfisol. The Alfisol had more fungal species in carryover treatments than the control (0 + 0 P). The number of species is obtained using the Shannon diversity index (H) exponent.
