Each block outlines the regions of the genome sequence aligned to a portion of another genome. The block above the center line indicates that the aligned region is in the forward orientation relative to the first genome sequence. In contrast, the block below the center line shows that the aligned region is in the inverse orientation. The same-colored blocks indicate the segments, or Locally Collinear Blocks (LCBs), that are conserved among the two bacteria compared.
