Finisher feed vitamins were reduced 50% from the former levels. 5 Salinomycin sodium, Bio-Cox, Huvepharma Inc., Peachtree City, GA. 6 The mineral premix involved (per kg of diet when fed at 0.10% of diet): calcium, 56 mg; manganese, 100 mg; magnesium, 27 mg; zinc, 100 mg; iron, 50.0 mg; copper, 10.0 mg; iodine, 1.0 mg. 7 Availa ZMC®, a mix of Zn, Mn, and Cu amino acid complexes. This mix contains the following rates of each mineral: Zn 4.0%, Mn 4.0%, Cu 0.7% bound into 1 to 1 amino acid ligand. Amino acid contained adds up to 25.1% crude protein. Availa-ZMC, manufactured by Zinpro Corporation, Eden Prairie, MN, USA. 8 Zn, Mn, and Cu were analyzed using EPC, with each in the starter and finisher periods. The average total analyzed amounts of Zn, Mn, and Cu fed to the birds were 115, 97, and 16 mg, respectively.
