It has come to our attention that this article published in May of 2020 contains image duplications with two unrelated papers by different authors. Specifically, Figure 1e, DAPI panel, is identical to Figure 7b from the paper entitled, “Long noncoding RNA LEF1-AS1 silencing suppresses the initiation and development of prostate cancer by acting as a molecular sponge of miR-330-5p via LEF1 repression”, Liu et al. DOI https://doi.org/10.1002/jcp.27893, published January 2019. This same panel from Figure 1e of the eBioMedicine paper is also duplicated in the middle panel of Figure 4B of the paper entitled, “Long noncoding RNA LINC00958 regulates cell sensitivity to radiotherapy through RRM2 by binding to microRNA-5095 in cervical cancer”, Zhao, et al. DOI https://doi.org/10.1002/jcp.28902 published June 2019.
Our investigation concluded that these duplications could not be attributed to unintentional error, and they significantly compromise the study's validity and reliability. Consequently, in compliance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines, this article has been retracted at the request of the editors.
