FIGURE 6

The conducted responses elicited by high stimulus frequency was not blocked by the combination purinergic receptor blocker suramin and gap junction uncoupler halothane. The change in diameter in of the 4A arteriole in response to capillary stimulation with high stimulus frequency (40 Hz (15CPM)) in the absence (Inline graphic) and presence (Inline graphic) of SUR and HALO. The combination of HALO and SUR treatment (F (1, 10) = 0.036; p treatment = 0.85, p time < 0.0001, p interaction = 0.85) did not significantly impact the vasodilation induced by 40 Hz muscle contraction. Data are shown as mean ± SD and analyzed by a two‐way repeated measures ANOVA with Fisher's LSD post hoc test where applicable. F statistics are reported with degrees of freedom for the numerator and the denominator (F [DFn, DFd]).
