Effects of the blocker of the glutamate transporter associated with chloride channels (GluT-ClC), TBOA (100 µM) on ΔVCone(s) in an A-cone elicited by C3S3 (A) and a L-cone (B) elicited by stimulus C1S1. The lower traces of each panel show that 100 µM TBOA exerts no action on HCAs and HCBs, indicating that its actions on cone surround responses are not caused by changes in HC surround responses. The average surround responses of A- and L-cones elicited by C1S1, C2S2 and C3S3 in medium (C) and in the presence of 100 µM TBOA (T) are given in C.
