Experiment 1 design. Ewes were assigned randomly to receive daily intramuscular injections of either 25 mg P4 (n = 20) in 1 mL corn oil vehicle or 1 mL corn oil alone (CO, n = 28) from Day 1.5 (36 h after onset of estrus) through Day 8 of pregnancy.
