Example of each experimental condition. In the full control condition, the motion of the visual stimulus (i.e., face video) was synchronized with participants’ real-time motion. In the partial control condition, the motion of the visual stimulus was a combination of the participant’s and the experimenter’s real-time motion, thus being partially synchronized with both.
