(B, C) scRNA-Seq datasets from the HPA (27) (B) and University of California Santa Cruz Single Cell Browser (29) (C) show that NPHS1 mRNA is expressed in a subset of endocrine islet cells (cluster 7 from HPA, mostly consisting of α and β cells) and exocrine acinar cells (clusters 1, 5, 9, 10, and 11 from HPA) but is absent in exocrine ductal cells (clusters 2, 6, 12, and 13 from HPA).
