Overlay of N-cadherin/Cx36 labelling shows Cx36-puncta abutted to the ends of individual junctional components of the N-cadherin⁺ adherens junctions (A3, arrows), all of which is closely adjacent to the MAP2⁺ CA3 pyramidal cell dendrite (A4).
