Inclusion and exclusion criteria.

Inclusion criteria Exclusion criteria Dropout criteria
– Competent to give written informed consent
– Signed consent—age ≥18 years
– Diagnosis of MS (27), NMOSD (28), and MOGAD (23)
– Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) assessment score ranging from 0 to 6.5 (inclusive) at baseline
– History of drug or alcohol abuse
– Evidence of active systemic infection
– Optic neuritis within 3 months prior to the baseline assessment
– Any steroid treatment within the preceding month
– Pregnancy
– Inability to cooperate
– Patient’s withdrawal of consent
– Lost to follow-up
– Non−compliance with protocol (decision by study board)
– Condition hindering study continuation (decision by the study board)

Exclusion criteria are only considered at baseline, while dropout criteria are checked at each follow−up visit.
