Morphological and molecular characterization of apoptotic cells in tumor tissue. Hematoxylin and eosin staining was performed on 10 μm sections of a paraffin-embedded tumor tissue, and microscopic examination was conducted using a Leica DMi8 (Leica microsystems, Wetzlar, Germany).
