The concentration of the encapsulated 10 nm fAuNP was 6.5 nM and the stoichiometric ratio between 30 nm fAuNPs and the cage-encapsulated 10 nm fAuNPs varied between 4:1 and 0.3:1. The total amount of 30 nm fAuNPs is held constant in each lane. The likely structures associated with the gel bands are included alongside the gel images.
