Protein expression by recombinant VSVs. BHK cells were infected with VSV, VSV-GFP, or VSVΔG-gp160G-GFP at an MOI of 5. Infected cells were incubated for 6 h at 37°C and labeled with [³⁵S]methionine for 1 h. Cell lysates were then analyzed directly by SDS-PAGE. The positions of wild-type VSV proteins, L, G, N, P, and M, are indicated along with the GFP and gp160G proteins encoded by the recombinants.
