Carotid CMR images of an IPH-positive plaque. (A) The lumen (red) and outer vessel wall (green) were delineated on the pre-contrast T1w TSE image and used to determine the total wall volume. (B) Intraplaque hemorrhage (IPH) was delineated based on hyperintense signal in the bulk of the plaque on the 3D-T1w inversion recovery turbo field echo images.
