^aRSV transcription reaction mixtures (10 μl) were reconstituted by using 200 ng of the indicated (wild-type or mutant) recombinant HRSV P proteins as described in Materials and Methods. Where indicated, the P protein was prephosphorylated by CK2 (of HEp-2 extract) or by purified CK1. PPλ indicates the presence of 40 ng of PPλ per 20 μl of the transcription reaction mixture (as in Fig. 4A).
