Intracellular effect of MNPs exposure on Neuro-2a cells. Neuro-2a cells were exposed to MNPs (10 or 100 µg ml⁻¹) or maintained under control conditions, and the effect of the exposure on some intracellular organelles was measured. Three different fluorescent probes were used, MitoTracker, MitoSOX and LysoTracker, and the intensity of the fluorescence was measured after 24 h of MNPs exposition. Data represented are mean ± s.e.m. *p < 0.05 significantly different from the indicated condition according to the DMS post hoc test.
