Methyl group incorporation into duplexes containing base substitutions using the pre-formed T4 MTase–AdoMet complex. The concentrations of T4 Dam MTase and oligonucleotide duplexes were 0.158 and 1.0 µM, respectively, except for (B) in which the enzyme concentration was 0.27 µM; [3H-CH3] AdoMet was at 8 µM.
