Eight binding cycles of SELEX were performed with purified ASR1 and the double-stranded oligonucleotide CGAGGTCGACGGTATCGN₁₅GGATCCACTAGTTCTAGA (A) or GGAAACAGCTATGACCATGAAGCTTN₁₅GGATCCACTAGTTCTAGA (B). Nucleotide sequences of individual inserts which were subcloned into plasmid are shown. The 5′ of the left border sequence is underlined. Consensus was determined using DIALIGN 2 [30], with minor manual adjustments. The core of the consensus sequence is indicated in bold.
