Figure 7. Effects of anti-BpsOmp38 polyclonal antibodies on Omp38 activity.

Figure 7

Various dilutions of the antibodies were incubated with 50 μg of the refolded BpsOmp38 and BthOmp38 in a final volume of 200 μl. The reaction mixtures were subsequently mixed with liposomes, and the permeation rates of the tested sugars were determined. Each experiment was repeated three times using BSA, BSA–antibodies and anti-BpsOmp38 antibodies without any protein as control tests. Permeation of glucose through the refolded Omp38 mixed with anti-(rabbit β-glucosidase) antibodies at various concentrations was measured as an additional control. ABs, antibodies; ara, L-arabinose; gl, D-glucose; man, D-mannose; gal, D-galactose; glcNAc, N-acteylglucosamine; suc, D-sucrose; mel, D-melezitose; rabbit, anti-(rabbit β-glucosidase) polyclonal antibodies.
