Rat adipocytes were incubated with 100 μM quercetin at 37 °C for 30 s in a mixture containing Krebs–Ringer-Hepes buffer (pH 7.4), containing 1% BSA, in the absence or presence of 1 μM insulin for 10 min. The cell suspension was immunoprecipitated with an anti-IRS1 antibody and then subjected to SDS/PAGE and Western blotting with an anti-phosphotyrosine antibody, as described in the Experimental section.
