Table 4.

Bacterial growth inhibition induced by Skm ethanol extract subfractions under varying light conditions: white light illumination, red light illumination, and at dark. Subfractions F3j and F4b exhibited bactericidal effects under both light illumination and at dark, indicating the presence in these subfractions of bactericidal molecules independently of photoactivation. In contrast, subfractions F5f and F5g displayed bactericidal activity exclusively under white or red light illumination, highlighting their phototoxic activity. The notation (+) indicate that the subfraction is bactericidal in the tested conditions.
