(a) In experiments that exposed cells to a temporal increase in succinate concentration (blue bars), cell reversal rate decreased over the time course of the experiments. A similar decrease was observed in the corresponding controls (green bars) where cells were exposed to a constant succinate concentration C = 1 mM. Similar trends were observed in a second bio-replicate of this experiment (b) and in two bio-replicates where cells were exposed to a temporal decrease in succinate concentration (c, d).
