Notes: Changes in Tot HAC Scores between the Performing and Worst-Performing quartile groups based on the pre-HACRP year group placement and whether or not their Tot HAC scores improved or worsened in 2020. Of those hospitals expected to be penalized from 2013, 98.1% of those hospitals improved their Tot HAC Scores. However, of those hospitals expected to not be penalized from 2013, only 38.8% of hospitals had improved scores in 2020.
