Total yeast nucleic acids prepared from galactose-induced cells were digested with EcoRI, RNase A treated, and electrophoretically separated on a 1% agarose gel. The positions of relevant molecular weight standards are indicated. The larger, 9.0-kbp band corresponds to the Ty1 donor plasmid; the smaller, 3.5-kbp band is derived from full-length Ty1-neo cDNA.
