(B) Giardia WB trophozoites were fixed and stained with an FITC-conjugated 30-mer oligonucleotide complementary to the 3′ end of the Giardia 16S-like rRNA. Concentrated stains were visible in the nucleolus-like structures at the anterior ends of both nuclei.
