Induction of iNOS mRNA by HIV-1 in T cells and Jurkat cells. (Top) T cells and Jurkat cells were infected or mock infected with HIV-1 where indicated. One day later, iNOS mRNA was detected by RT-PCR with specific primers and Southern blotted with a human iNOS-specific probe. Shown are the results of a representative experiment. A positive control sample from a human cell line expressing iNOS mRNA (C+) and a negative control with no cells (C−) are also shown.
