Photograph of electrophoretically separated cell lysates reacted with serum to U_S11 or GST-U_S3. Replicate 25-cm² flask cultures of HEp-2 cells were mock infected or infected with 10 PFU of HSV-1(F) per cell in the presence or absence of 300 μg of PAA per ml of medium. The cells were harvested 18 h after infection, solubilized, electrophoretically separated on a denaturing polyacrylamide gel, transferred to a nitrocellulose sheet, and reacted with antibodies specific for U_S11 (A) or U_S3 (B).
