Association of Vif with virions treated with detergent or viral protease inhibitor. (A) KS283 virus was harvested from H9 or MT-2 cells and treated with 1% Triton X-100 for 10 min at room temperature. Virions were resedimented through a 20% sucrose cushion and resolved on SDS-PAGE. (B) KS-283-infected MT-2 cells were treated with the viral protease inhibitor saquinavir 2 days after infection. Virus was collected 24 h later and centrifuged through a 20% sucrose cushion. Cell (left) or virus lysates were resolved on SDS-PAGE.
