Effect of corticosteroids on carrageenan-induced paw edema: (A) paw volume was induced by sub-plantar injection of carrageenan (1%) and edema was measured using a hydroplethismometer immediately before the sub-plantar injection and at 1, 2, 4, 5, 48, and 72 h. The animals were pre-treated (i.p.) 60 min before edema induction with Bud at doses of 0.1, 0.3, and 1 mg/kg (B), Bud-21P at doses of 0.1, 0.3, and 1 mg/kg (C), and Bud-21P-Na2 at doses of 0.1, 0.3, and 1 mg/kg (D); * p < 0.05, ** p < 0.01, *** p < 0.001, and **** p < 0.0001 vs. vehicle-treated group. The data were analyzed by a two-way ANOVA followed by Bonferroni’s test.
