AL2 does not bind siRNA. Labeled siRNA or ssDNA (∼500 bp) was incubated without added protein (−) or with GST (negative control), GST-p19, or GST-AL2 in duplicate reactions as indicated. The inability of GST-AL2 to bind siRNA was confirmed twice with each of two different protein preparations.
