SW480-αvβ6 cells do not express caveolin-1. Reverse transcription-PCR was carried out for the presence of actin or caveolin-1 mRNA in CHO and SW480-αvβ6 cells. A PCR product (∼275 bp) was detected for actin in both cell lines (lanes 2 and 4).
