Renal transplant candidates at UCLA were recruited to participate before kidney transplantation, while lung transplant candidates listed for transplantation were recruited at UCSF. Participants provided blood on the day of transplantation and followed up after 3 months (kidney) and 12 months (lung) for PostTx sampling. PBMCs were isolated and genomic DNA was extracted for TBS-seq. After sequencing, the DNA methylation profiles were analyzed and modeled with the multivariate multiple linear regression (MMLR) model.
