Fig. 4 — Water deficit index or WDI computed using data from a pivot irrigation system-mounted sensing package for different irrigation treatments at the Chillicothe Research Station in 2020 and 2021. ET90 refers to 90% ET replacement, ET60 refers to 60%, and so on. The “ground sensor” WDI data was derived from a sensing package with the temperature sensor focused directly on the crop canopy, which was placed in one ET90 plot.
