Unliganded, open conformation of MnaA from Paenibacillus alvei in the absence of substrate, adopting a GT-B fold. The MnaA crystal structure was solved with two molecules (A and B) in the AU (shown left and right). The N-terminal and C-terminal domain each adopts a distinct Rossmann fold, characteristic of the GT-B fold. The space between these two folds forms an interdomain cleft that contains the active site (Legg, 2022).
