(A) Cells were treated with samples in given concentrations for 48 h and the viable cell levels were measured by MTT assay. Cell viability is given as a relative percentage of untreated (0 μg/mL) control group. (B) Inflammatory response in cells were induced by addition of lipopolysaccharides (LPS) 1 h prior to sample treatment. NO levels in cell culture medium were measured by Griess reaction. NO production levels were given as relative percentage of C. a-mGroups with different superscript letters are significanly different, whereas same superscript letters mean no significant difference as revealed by Duncan’s multiple range post-hoc test (p < 0.05).
