Comparison of the stability of beta glucuronidase encapsulated in RO EVs formulated with 5% Suc, 0.02% P188 and either 10 mm Na‐phosphate or 10 mm K phosphate. Enzyme activity is expressed as the fluorescence‐intensity of fluorescein generated through the enzymatic conversion of fluorescein‐di‐β‐D‐glucuronide. Percent values indicate the recovery rate of active enzyme after lyophilization and after storage for 1 and 6 months compared to samples before lyophilization. Placebo indicates samples containing only the respective buffers and cryoprotectants and no EVs. Each data point represents mean ± SD, n = 3. Two‐way ANOVA, Bonferroni‐Holm post‐hoc test, *p < 0.05, ns = non‐significant.
