Conversions and TONs obtained using different equivalents of Ru3 (2.5, 5 or 10 mol% vs. dye) for the uncaging reactions of 2 and 4 to form 1 and 3 respectively, in chemically defined medium (BMM). Dye concentrations were around 40 μg mL⁻¹.
