Estimated change in haemoglobin from day 0 to days 2–3 (A) and to days 5–7 (B) in children younger than 15 years with P vivax malaria
A low daily dose of primaquine was about 0·25 mg/kg, an intermediate daily dose was about 0·5 mg/kg, and a high daily dose was about 1 mg/kg. Mixed-effects linear regression models adjusting for age, sex (male or female), (log10) baseline parasite density, and day 0 haemoglobin with random intercepts by study site. Covariate-adjusted changes in haemoglobin were estimated at the mean values of the covariates. P vivax=Plasmodium vivax.
